Good Vibrations
Column #433 December 15, 2023
“All things in our universe are constantly in motion, vibrating. Even objects that appear to be stationary are in fact vibrating, oscillating, resonating, at various frequencies. Resonance is a type of motion, characterized by oscillation between two states. And ultimately all matter is just vibrations of various underlying fields. As such, at every scale, all of nature vibrates.”1
Vibrations are an integral part of our lives. They can impact how we think, feel, our health, and how we communicate with others. Sometimes I wonder if that’s why people flock together like a school of fish. Maybe, because of vibrations, people adapt beliefs that are totally whacko and hang onto them for years because their vibrations are reinforced by associating with others with the same beat.
We’ve all seen images of schools of fish with all of the individual fish turning in unison. Does this have something to do with vibrations? Whales can communicate with other whales over hundreds of miles away with sound waves (vibrations) that travel in the water.2
On land, vibrations play significant roles in the lives of animals and insects. Bees create vibrations that indicate the health of the hive, food sources, dangers, and more. Many animals feel the earth’s vibrations long before the vibrations become intense enough for humans to sense. This famously happens before earthquakes.3
Another interesting aspect of our vibrating is with the transmissions of messages! Telepathy is recognized as an event that does happen. Premonitions, imaginations, dreams, and senses are all part of it. If animals can use telepathy as a form of communications with their buddies, why can’t humans. If animals can sense danger from a predator before seeing and smelling it, why can’t people. Quite often people dismiss their premonitions only to discover they were really telepathic messages.4
All sound is detected as vibrations. In some cases we can feel the sound (a loud bass drum) and if the vibrations are in a range for us to hear, they are detected by our ears. We all respond to vibrations which we detect as irritable, pleasing, inspirational, depressing, anger, joy, sadness, and the list goes on. This is why story telling (movies) and music go hand in hand.
Rock and roll music came on the scene in the 1950s and by the mid 1960s psychedelic rock rose in popularity. During this period church music started changing from classical to contemporary. The musical vibrations people were exposed to obviously changed dramatically 60 years ago and in my opinion it wasn’t a constructive change. Popular music shifted from calming to jarring with loud bases and gritty sounds.5 6
We are also impacted by vibrations put out by people who are deeply concerned about issues our society is dealing with. The open borders have allowed an unknown number of terrorists into the country. Even the FBI says this is dangerous, which is setting the stage for more government surveillance and restrictions on lawful citizens. These vibrations have put our entire nation on edge.7
“Researchers have found that vibrations and the electromagnetic energy associated with them cause changes in your cells, which can then affect how your body functions.” Continuous talk about rising crime levels, the suppression of free speech, the ongoing wars, distrust in our government, the concerns for debts that are suffocating our government and many of our fellow citizens, and other issues cause our national hive to vibrate differently than during peaceful times. If as individuals we focus on threats and everyday problems, at the expense of counting our blessings, that can negatively impact our health. There’s no question that living in an atmosphere that’s saturated with negative vibrations makes plants, animals and people quite sick.8
For this reason we must develop a greater awareness of our exposure to daily vibrations. Listen to classical music or soothing music, practice meditation, and spend some quiet time relaxing. In addition, we can practice telepathy—raising our awareness of our premonitions, imaginations, dreams, and senses. This can improve our relationships with others, improve our health, expand our universe, and possibly keep us out of harms way.
In closing I invite everyone to listen to “Good Vibrations” by the Beach Boys. Maybe that will bring a smile.9
To your health.
